Why doss exists

Born from a real business problem.

There had to be an option between “keep the spreadsheet” and “start another major IT program.”

doss grew from exactly that situation. A long-standing client had a core business process built around manual steps, spreadsheets, limited data-integrity controls and significant quality risk. The traditional alternatives were to live with it or add scope to a much larger enterprise-system program.

Instead, we used an emerging application platform to build a focused business solution faster and with far less overhead. What started as one practical answer exposed a much bigger opportunity: organizations have countless processes that deserve better technology but do not justify a massive software initiative.

The technology has evolved. The principle has not.

Today the toolkit includes AI, no-code/low-code, APIs, integrations, workflow automation and custom development. doss starts with the process and chooses the technology that best fits the problem.

That original work also shaped an important part of doss's DNA: speed cannot come at the expense of control. In regulated or high-risk environments, we design documentation, testing, validation and governance into the solution rather than treating them as an afterthought.

How to engage doss

One of the easiest ways to work with doss is to bring us the processes you already know are harder than they should be. You do not need a platform selected, a formal requirements document or even a fully formed automation idea.

Bring 2–3 challenges

Show us the manual processes, spreadsheet-heavy work, repetitive handoffs or disconnected data that create friction. If the right use case is not obvious, we can identify one together.

Choose the right fit

We assess the process, expected value, risk and technology options. Sometimes the answer is low-code. Sometimes it is AI, an integration, an API, conventional development—or no new technology at all.

doss grew out of work where data quality, control and business continuity matter. These examples come from life sciences, but the underlying problems—manual work, fragmented data and complex workflows—exist in every industry.

Streamlining Data Management for a Global Biotech

Problem

Reliance on numerous spreadsheets to manage product and location master data created data-integrity risk and made it difficult to maintain the control required in a GxP environment.

Solution

After a multi-vendor evaluation, doss selected Quickbase and developed a centralized master-data solution, including quality documentation and validation protocols. The application is used by multiple functional teams around the globe.

Modernizing Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Regulatory Compliance

Problem

European pharmaceutical traceability requirements created a resource-intensive process for managing, tracking and resolving suspect-product alerts across markets.

Solution

doss developed an EU FMD Alert Manager on Quickbase to centralize issue management, automate workflow to resolution and support reporting to European market authorities.
